One of my favorite shows on TV is Sunday Morning on CBS. This Sunday I caught a quick minute of a story on Banksy the graffiti artist from London. His work is showing up all around London. The work is satirical, tongue and cheek and controversial. His work is primarily done with stencils and spray paint on very public walls, but apparently he recently had a gallery show where he painted on canvas instead of cement. His identity remains a secret.
I am a huge fan of graffiti art. Yes, I understand the controversy behind it but I think it just propels the medium even more. I do agree that is a form of vandalism but I also believe its is a new and exciting form of public art.

For all I know you could be Banksy, but then in the same vein you could be lying. Come to think of it, you can’t prove that i’m not Banksy. I’m not, but that’s beside the point.

I think mr. Banksy is a great artist, whether he comes from Bristol or London or even from Long Island, New York, where I used to live. Stay under the radar, mr. Banksy! But do you think you could do some graffiti in Dhaka, Bangladesh? Thanks, pal!

well i live close to the ninth wardin new orleans and the is this building i pass by to go to ok and school and th other day i saw this painting that was never there and i pic up the paper this sunday and read about you . there r alot of people who cam to new orleans after the hurricane and most of them only focuse on the N.O. well im from st bernard parish what i was getting at is i saw you painting and nearly ran into the bridge lol. i don’t travil out side the parish for much but i do look around when i do. you r one of many people who r trying to get us to look on the bright side. i just wanted to really say thinks for your addition to our art

we would love to work with banksy, was just in the UK but would love to bring some of his work to California culture.
